Conservatives are hopping mad over the Newsweek cover photo of Michele Bachmann. Are they right to complain?
Let’s face it, we’ve all had our share of bad photos. God knows I have. But are conservatives getting their knickers in a twist for nothing over Newsweek’s wild-eyed, and yes, unflattering, pic of the tea party presidential candidate? Or is there genuine anti-conservative bias afoot?
Well …
Bachmann has been known to give the ole, “crazy eyed” look …
… and to hide in the bushes to spy on gay rights rallies from time to time.
But is that any reason to run an unflattering pic of her on the cover of Newsweek? After all, in these photo shoots, multiple shots are taken. Is that really the best one they had? Or did the photo editor have a little fun with Ms. Bachmann (kind of like whoever had had her looking into the wrong camera when she gave her state of the union tea party rebuttal…)
Ever the good sport, Rep. Bachmann is brushing off the whole kerfuffle (at least publicly.) But that won’t end it for her fans, who see that liberal bias at work again (which is why they pretty much only watch Fox News.)
So was the Newsweek cover a case of dirty pool?
Your witness.
